Once upon a time in La La Land...

What started as an idea in the summer of 2012 between 2 friends, while sitting around a campfire, has become what is known as Colorful Fire.

Simply put, we wanted to create a flame colorant that really worked. We know there are a lot of flame colorant products on the market but none of them seem to WOW us. So we embarked on a mission to create a product that will change the way people view fire.

Humble beginnings...

Our first test fire was quite the spectacle. We invited a bunch of friends and family over to witness what was going to be THE PRODUCT that revolutionizes how people view fire. So with everyone gathered around a well stoked fire we began the countdown to amazement.

3-2-1 POOF!!! NOTHING!!!

Actually when we threw the product on the fire it began to put it out. Everyone was real supportive but we knew in the back of their minds they were laughing at us. Honestly, we were laughing at ourselves. This was the first time that we realized this venture was going to be harder than we expected.

After our initial failed attempt we were discouraged. So, back to the lab we went (I embellish...the lab was actually a garage). After educating ourselves on chemistry and pyrotechnics, we started to formulate a compound mixture that worked. After several more favorable attempts (we decided to save our dignity and not invite anyone to view these) we have come up with a mixture that we are very proud of and guarantees to impress all who see it!

A few things that set us apart from other flame colorants on the market are:

1. Colorful Fire lasts a long time. All of our test results have lasted a minimum of 30 minutes in average size fires. Actually the majority of them have had up to an hour and longer. We have tried numerous flame colorant products on the market and the best we have been able to achieve is about 10-15 minutes. Some don’t give you anything but a flash of color.
2. Colorful Fire is environmentally and people friendly. No smoke, no odor and noxious fumes. We know all the old tricks to get fire to change colors. The biggest problem is that all of them emit an extremely toxic smoke and are actually illegal to burn (ex. Xmas lights, copper pipe and garden hose, copper wire, bowling balls, batteries, etc).
3. Colorful Fire is a complete burn off product so there is no mess to clean up after. Also no carcinogens or harmful substances left behind.
4. Colorful Fire is safe for ANY wood burning fire. So, use it outdoors or indoors with no worries.
5. Colorful Fire is manufactured by us, in the USA. Something we need more of is the MADE IN USA logo on products.
